Catapult Design worked with Northwest Roadrunner to launch an annual race meant to inspire young runners to just “get out and run”, while also raising money for school wellness programs.
The first step was coming up with an inspiring race name. The right name captures the imagination and connects with those you want to reach. In essence, choosing the right name can help build a campaign’s image. In fact, an awesome name can even be a campaign in its own right.
With this is mind, we sat down to brainstorm the perfect name that touched on two major points: the event itself and its purpose. After much thought and discussion, we landed on a name that hit both points: “Got2Run...For Education”. This name struck a balance between the activity itself (Got2Run) and its purpose (For Education).
The next step was to create a bold visual identity that would appeal to all ages and genders. The challenge here was to keep communications from all mediums both flexible and consistent; not an easy task considering how wide the target audience was. From flyers and shirts to trophies, accomplishing this was no small feat.
Over the last five years, we have seen the number of runner’s triple, with participants from over 250 schools. We are also proud to say that the “Got2Run” race has donated over $100,000 to school wellness programs in order to do our part in promoting action towards benefiting schools.
